Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Kavara browser extension, dashboard, website, and related services (the "Service"). By installing the extension, creating an account, or using the Service, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and the organization you represent. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Kavara detects sensitive data as it is entered into AI tools and tokenizes it on-device before it leaves the browser, while giving administrators visibility into AI usage. The Service is a safeguard, not a guarantee: no data-loss-prevention tool catches every case, and you remain responsible for your own security and compliance program.

You must provide accurate information and keep your account secure. Administrators are responsible for the users they invite, the policies they configure, and the activity in their workspace. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of access to your account.

You agree not to: misuse or interfere with the Service; attempt to gain unauthorized access to it or to another tenant's data; reverse-engineer it except where that restriction is prohibited by law; resell it without authorization; or use it to violate any law or the rights of others.

Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the extension and access the dashboard for your internal business purposes during your subscription or trial. We retain all rights not expressly granted.

You retain all rights to your data. We process the limited operational metadata described in our Privacy Policy solely to provide and secure the Service. As explained there, the content of prompts and AI responses is tokenized or discarded on-device and is never sent to or stored by us.

Kavara is priced per seat — one seat per active install. New workspaces start with a free trial; after it ends, continued protection of new installs requires a paid subscription. Fees are billed in advance through our payment processor and, except where required by law, are non-refundable. You can change seats or cancel at any time through the billing portal; changes take effect according to your billing cycle.

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by Kavara and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer any ownership to you.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will detect every instance of sensitive data.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kavara will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold Kavara harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service or violation of these terms or applicable law.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your license ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as data ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. We will post the revised terms here with a new date, and material changes take effect after we give notice through the Service. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
